Red haired young woman infront of a rock wall.Li’l B?  That’s me.

No, I’m not a wanna-be rapper rambling about “the industry”.  I’m a quiet white girl with a story to tell.  I was raised in a  laid-back Minnesotan home with a lot of siblings and cousins. (That’s why I’m “Li’l B”.  I’m the youngest child of six and for most of my younger years following my siblings through school defined me.)  When college time came around, I decided to join the Navy.  I’d get to see the world, or at least a part of it I probably wouldn’t have gotten to the way my quiet life was going, and get money for college.  The way I saw it, I’d get out of college a little later but have much less debt, have traveled a lot and been more ready to settle into a steady job, and know myself better than most college graduates getting out into the “real world” for the first time.

I got stationed in Japan and have lived here nearly three years now. I’ve seen some of Japan, usually when my siblings are here, and I’ve seen a number of other Asian countries.  In all I’ve seen nine different Asian countries, including Japan, most multiple times.  I’ve also hit a few ports in Australia and traveled around the United states some.  I can’t wait to see what other ports I hit and things I discover.

I started my blog when I first arrived in Japan as a way to tell all my friends and family once instead of telling the same  story many times. I transferred over to this website when the template I was using got too small and inflexible for my story.

Welcome to my life and I hope you enjoy my ramblings about my travels.
